Peter Collingwood was well known for his innovative rug weaving.  In this two-day workshop you will learn and practice the basics of the Collingwood style, including Plain Weave and Twill patterns.  The Collingwood technique produces a thick, sturdy rug.  Using a linen warp and multiple colors of rug wool weft, you will weave a sample of 20 or more patterns (approximately 60 inches long) which you can then adapt into your own designs for rugs, table runners, or small mats.  Warp and weft sampler yarns are included in the cost of the workshop.  Weft yarns for the additional warp to make 4 – 5 small mats will be extra.

Note: Participants need to have a good understanding of weaving basics for plain weave and twill.
