This year’s Beginning Weaving class will be taught in three 5-hour sessions.
This is a start-to-finish weaving experience on a 4-shaft table loom. Students will take home a tabletop loom to weave a sampler between classes 2 and 3. Looms, yarn and all materials are included in the fee.
- Day 1 – winding, sleying, threading, reeds & looms, yarn
- Day 2 – beaming, tensioning, weaving, reading drafts
- Day 3 – project planning, creating drafts, doubleweave, finishing
Portable 4-shaft table looms are provided for use during and between the classes. Recommend textbook, Learning to Weave with Deborah Chandler.
