This 34-page booklet was originally put together to accompany weavers attending a round robin weaving workshop with Leslie. Weavers will learn that through the manipulation of color, yarn weights and patterning they can create simple but unusual plain weaves that don’t look boring! There are 19 warps amply illustrated not only how to weave it but the impact the scale and/or color effect the fabric design. Many of these warps can be converted to a 2 harness/shaft loom. There are several color and weave effects such as Log Cabin that demonstrate plain weave’s creative side! Not only are there draw-ups but illustrations to accompany the warp instructions. A bonus - the illustration on manipulating the pick and pick system with two shuttles that was eventually published in the Handwoven weaving magazine
